All the rooms have been personalised and they take full advantage of their historical features and irregular shapes. The queen size beds have been carefully positioned so that you can enjoy the very best views such as the historical square in front of the residence, the green hills of the Petřín gardens or indeed even Prague Castle itself.
All the rooms feature superbly furnished marble bathrooms with specially designed Italian sanitary ware, following an original 1930s design. All the bathrooms have been equipped with underfloor heating to provide you with total comfort, and they all have air conditioning and enjoy all possible amenities.
On entering this wonderful historical mansion, you will be ushered into the Reception area via the Lobby. Our receptionist and butler are here to ensure that all your individual requests and preferences are met.
The Ground Floor features the Reception and Lobby areas. For your convenience, we have situated one of the suites on this floor, together with a romantic, elegant treatment room for couples which includes a jacuzzi. You will love the wooden hand painted Renaissance ceilings in the rooms, and the stunning painted vaulted ceiling in the massage room. The warm, intimate colour schemes, coupled with the hand painted motifs and spacious, airy rooms, will make you feel welcome and at home.
One of the centrepieces of the house, the majestic dark oak staircase, will take you to the next floor; alternatively there is a lift available.
The First Floor also boasts amazing hand painted Renaissance wooden ceilings, and we have also managed to preserve some of the Baroque stucco work and frescoes. This floor is extremely versatile, featuring a large Library and two Suites leading off the library. The privacy of the Suites is ensured, as both rooms have double doors. This floor is ideal for you should you wish to have a connecting room of up to 140 square metres in size. There is also a separate kitchen area on this floor, where our chef will take care of all of your dining requirements if you wish.
The Second Floor is full of wonderful surprises and nice little touches. Not only will your eyes literally feast on the exquisite patterns of the hand painted wooden ceilings and the solid parquet flooring, but you will also be presented with a lovely wood burning fire to enjoy in the Fireplace Room and a bright and spacious Breakfast Room with the most delightful terrace, offering views of Prague Castle so close at hand. This terrace is shared by one of the two Suites situated on this floor. The other Suite on this floor features a veduta painting on its wall of Prague in 1786.
As one would expect, the top floor of this charming historical mansion offers stunning views over the surrounding area. Not only can you see the St Nicholas Church, the green hills of Petřín, and the Palace housing the British Embassy, but also Prague Castle itself. The De Castello Suite on the Third Floor has its own private lift, otherwise this floor is accessible via the beautiful dark oak staircase from the Second Floor. The Third Floor features the already mentioned De Castello Suite and two more beautifully equipped Suites. Once again the architect has employed special little touches when designing the suites in order to provide all modern amenities and yet keep faith with the historical charm of the property. One of the Suites has superbly fitted oak wardrobes which hide the entrance to a marble bathroom. This Suite also enjoys a terrace with a view over the castle. The high ceiling of the other Suite, with its wooden beams, creates an open, bright living space, offering the most superb views over St Nicholas Church and the Lesser Quarter . In the evenings, as you lie in bed, you will appreciate the specially painted ceiling of the room which evokes the feel and look of the night sky. The last of the living quarters on this floor, the De Castello Suite, boasts not only the largest living space in the mansion, but also a living room, a kitchen, private access to the lift and the spa, and, as if that was not enough, a terrace and stunning views on both sides of the mansion, overlooking both the Petřín gardens and Prague Castle.
